Question Bodywork?

Does anyone know where I could source some aftermarket bodywork for a VFR800F1Y? Im hoping to use it for trackdays in case I have a "wobble"... It isnt imperative, but Id ideally like to find bodywork that has indicator, headlight and brakelight cutouts etc so I can just leave it on when Im on the road... maybe get a hideous paint job to warn other riders to watch out for the novice!

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ive rung around most places I could think of... infact so many that I cant remember them all or Id list them. Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

I've never heard of anyone producing track fairings for the VFR, presumably because not many people use one as a dedicated track day tool. Unless anyone else knows better, your best bet maybe to ring around breakers to see if you can get any pre-scratched panels. If cosmetic damage is irrelevant to you, you may be able to pick some stuff up relatively cheaply.

You could try Skidmarx, they do replica bodywork in glass fibre & also in carbon fibre. Doesn't say on webiste if they do it for VFR800 but is worth asking..

Buy a track day bike like a CBR600 or R6. The cost and effort involved in new bodywork and fitting lights and indicators each time is prohibitive. In my opinion.

2003 VFR 800 Vtec but theres only 60% left of that bike as the sum total of parts is not that old.

Ian G: Thanks but I called them and unfortunately they only do them for the 750.

I wasnt intending to do that many trackdays this year but if I was you're right ace and mickcheese, Id be better off getting a bike more suited to track hooliganism. I was trying to be cautious I suppose. Still that winning Lotto ticket and maybe I could bodge together something for the track...

I think I might just leave it but if I do see a bargain set of pre-scratched panels Ill take Si Clicks advice since Id still like to do a few track days and it couldnt hurt if the panels were cheap.

Cheers everyone.
