I used the RAM ball mount system, ram ball in steering column, short arm and ram ball waterproof case, works Ok as long as you don't want audio, probably not the cheapest option though.

Hi,
Another vote for the RAM mounting onto the ball socket, extremely good and can be angled in many different ways to suit. Steve |

Thanks oldnewbie and Gosman for the reply. Did you get the ball socket from any particular web site? Thanks again for the info.

There's also the Telferizer, that works in a similar way to the RAM stem mount, to consider.

You may require one of these too? My TT Rider came with TT's own half inch ball mount which are not compatible with RAM. Do you have a headset of some sort to receive directions? Using GPS on a bike without voice directions is a bit of a ball ache/distraction. Which model of GPS 'ave you got?

Hi Chippy,
The Telferizer (mentioned above) is the way to go, that's what I use coupled with the suitable RAM mount (but I think my TT Urban Rider came with a RAM mounting plate as I don't remember ordering one seperately, although my brain is old and I may just not remember ordering one as an add-on!) However, I would recommend the TT Urban Rider which I now use in the car as well. Cheers Steve |

Hi sort
ive got a tomtom 1 and no head set. Ive been to france now most years for a long time now but just wanted it as a bit of a back up rather then taking a map and it would be good for the points of interest.I like the look of the telferizer it looks like the way to go i.e front and center and out the wind. Thanks everybody for the great replys. Cheers Darren |

I use a 'so easy rider' on the bike. mine cost about 35 quid. Will take any satnav and it fastens round the yokes in a neopreme pouch. Its IPX7 rated so you dont have any worries about water. Givi do the s850 for similar money and is a very similar product. My own satnav is a cheapy 45quid affair. If owt happens to it im not going to cry.
Works a treat and can be used on any bike Paul |

Forget payin 90quid for a mount. Get some threaded bar through your headstock and bolt the tom-tom cradle down.
Itl coat about 2 quid for the bar a couple of washers n a couple of nuts. Used mine like this to the south of France n back n a year after still perfect. Thanks Graham |

I have got a bracket fitted to my bike. It was taken off another VFR. See below. It works an absolute treat and does not come in the way when using a tankbag either.
It secures onto the nuts used for the clutch and brake levers, however it does require a slightly longer bolts for them to secure the fitting. http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_2120.jpg http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_2121.jpg http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_2122.jpg |
