i have windows 98,and want to download one,what is the best programme to down load them to.:h

You don't need any program to download them. Just save it to your hard disk somewhere then follow the instructions for how to setup an avtar.

If you want to edit the file, then you will need something like Paintshop Pro or an animated GIF editor (if it's animated obviously!!).

I use HEADLINE STUDIO which is an Animation program, all you need is a couple of pics that are slightly different. You can use Paint Shop Pro to edit them. If you down load an AVATAR from the web(ie. one that is already a moving picture) just alter in the USER CP AVATAR settings and point the BROWSE to your Hard Drive and upload it
