Just watched "Racing the Bullet" on Men and Motors. I've seen it before and each time I feel more inspired to give it a go, Enduro India (http://www.enduroindia.com/Home.htm) that is. Anyone on the site done it, or thought of doing it? Raising the £3200 sponsorship would be tough, but definitely one of those experience of a lifetime thingies I reckon. One day, soon, I'll stop day dreaming and get off my fat arse and do somat about it. :D

Jewel Holidays/Blazing Saddles do a very similar trip for £1100, and even better a Himalayan trip for around £1800 including flights. I know it's "not for charity, mate", but very good VFM

I have ridden a royal enfield in parts of India.
You dont dodge the cages so much as the cattle, with fuckin big horns that stick out about 3 ft either side of the dam beasts.
The elephants can be a bit tricky as well. :}
