Hi guys
This is my first post, so please be gentle!:dunce:
I'm starting to plan a trip to Norway, intending to go for a couple of weeks with the lady friend on the back of the viffer sometime June-ish.
I've been reading through lots of previous posts on Norway - the consensus seems to be expensive, outstanding scenery, fascist speed cops, and just damn expensive.
I tend to ride like Miss Daisy and I've been saving up, so none of the above has put me off yet. I also got a ton of bumpf from the Norwegian tourist board and the Rough Guide to Scandanavia... so I've got 2 questions I'm hoping someone out there can help with:
1) I was thinking of getting the ferry to Bergen and trying to make it to the Arctic Circle and back in 2 and a bit weeks. My lady wouldn't like to spend all her time perched on the back of the bike, so am I being hopelessly unrealistic about the distance, given all the comments that speeding is a definite no-no?
2) The bumpf and the book list LOADS of places to stay - can anyone name any places they would recommend staying eg biker-friendly, or found any good websites that would help narrow it down a bit?
