Glen, I'll be there at the services at 10am waiting to join the main pack as well, so I'll see you there! (If you're familiar with the services & know a good 'meeting point', can you let me know... thanks.)

All the best,

I know there are a lot of people going to the AGRO on the Thursday, but not many people from the south have indicated if they are planning to meet us ( do we smell )

If we don't know were to meet you we might miss you. Please indicate on this thread.

Dan

1 week 6 days and 13 hours untill we leave :D :D but who's counting.

Hhhmmmmmmmnnnnnnnn...............Tough question:dunno: :} :f :} :f You bin on the curry again Dan, best save it for Mr Sh's wind tunnel requirements;)

On a serious note will you really make Hinckley Little Thief at 11 if you are trying to link up with a lot of people?

I've no idea yet as to what time I'm leaving. Jane has to go part way by train and we'd booked for the 7th, but now there's a possibility of a strike :t I may have to take her to the station on Thursday.

To get back to the point, what time will you be geting to the M6?
It looks like you're joining at junction 16, any idea where the first services are after this?

Cheers

Dan here come the cavalry;)

The route joins the M6 at J15 and not J16. Keele services are only 2 miles north of this, so I guess that's your best bet.

She
24-04-2003, 20:34
Ruk any ideas how long it will take to get there ???

Thanks :k

Also in answer to your other question, I guess we could be a little behind time getting to Hinkley, say 11-11:30.

Jill

ruk

Jill,

Keele will be about 1 to 1 1/2 hours after leaving Hinckley

Looks about right to me but that's as long as you are not waiting for people at each meeting point, or having a fag break at each:t as for getting people fed at the LT in 30 mins, may be a bit ambitious, but I think there's enough built in to get back on schedule.

I am sure it doesn't matter but it's Keele services and not Keeley, but I don't think it's the best place for Chrisgd to hook up with people. If we ride in and ride out at Keele to collect Redviffer then have a brew at Sandbach would be better time wise otherwise it'll only be 1 hour after lunch, plus I shall be bunking off there:blush: 'cos it's where I live. You could stop at mine for a brew, that'd wake the neighbours:eek:

Mind you could be academic 'cos if it's p***ing with rain I'll wave to you all as you go by Sandbach:} :} :}

Ok, I’ve procrastinated enough. I'll meet you at Box Hill at 8:15!!
Any chance of the cafe being open at that time?

However, I'll be leaving just after Sudbury at the junction with the A515 somewhere near your 143 mile mark.

And if I'm early enough, I can then have breakfast while waiting for you to turn up. A sound plan.

I've been thinking, dangerous I know, but it would be best for you to stop at Sandbach Services. They are just before J17 and in the right place for most people wanting a fag break after lunch at Hinckley. So just go past Keele and continue to Sandbach Services which are between 16 & 17.

Also if it's p***ing with rain I won't be meeting everyone at Hinckley, but I have a load of stuff to pass to She so we'll do the handover at Sandbach Services:goofy:

I`ll wait at J2 M40 (Beaconsfield) on the roundabout above motorway. Give me a wave, I`ll put out me roll up and catch up with you, so dont bother coming off motorway. Be there about 9.00. If you leave Boxhill any earlier give me a ring.
Loki.....see you there or at my abode for coffee and/or nicotine about 8.30.

Keep on wobbling.:D :D

just noticed that my name is down for meeting up but I'm going to go with Gomez from Stratford, up the welsh border into chester etc. for a bit of a scenic/twisty route.

Anyone who wants to join us, I'll be leaving Burford at 8.30 with Muppet and heading up to Stratford for 9.30am.

However, I have noticed that further North the two routes seem to get pretty close. I think you're going to be running past Kendal at about 15.13 and we're down to pass over the M6 and past Kendal at 14.44.

What if we try and meet somewhere?? or is that getting too difficult.

Gomez has put an autoroute map on the thursday twisty route thread which I cant work but maybe someone could check it and see about a meeting point.

from what I can gather I was thinking of where our route crosses over yours on the M6 just south of Kendal then we could all come off the M6 Route and follow Gomez's scenic route for the last bit of the journey??

what does everyone think??

Hinckley Little Chef - A5

Take it easy at Hinckley ..... there's roadworks a few hundred yards down the road from the Little Chef, affecting traffic both ways. Its the bit between the M69 and the roundabout at Hinckley (A5).

If the traffic is bad getting up to the M69 - I'll be taking a diversion through Burbage or nearer to Hinckley town centre.

Catch me if ya can :f :f :f :f
