hi all,

i ordered a Z-Bomb when they first came out. because i was the first to order one from the UK dealer, they gave it to me for free :d:

having used it for a while, it does make a difference but not enough for it to be worth loosing 1st & 2nd gear indication IMHO (it shows 3rd while in 1, 2 & 3 see other posts for more details)

so i've removed it from my bike. i will probably get a PC V now that EU maps have been created by dynojet UK

so, if anyone wants a freebie or to try the Z-Bomb out for themselves (takes 2 minutes to fit) send me a mail at ross at hendy-net.co.uk or PM me.

just need a SAE from you to cover postal costs (will be classed as a small packet by the post office)

I have one fitted to my bike and when I get the latest software upgrade downloaded (as per the 2012 model) I wonder whether I will need the Z Bomb fitted, as I understand the latest upgrade removes the dip in torque in 1st and 2nd gears.

Sorry to hi jack the thread, but my bike is a 2010 model which I bought last month. It has had 1 update downloaded, but is there now another 1 ? Or have I misunderstood ?

the update for the 2010/11 model was 'said' to be the same as the 2012 as it was released just before the 2012 model was officially anounced so i think thats where the 2012 reference comes from(?) i've not heard/read of any other updates for the VFR1200.

the update i had does improve low speed running but does not eleimate the power dip (smoothes it a little) and throttle response is still a bit on/off at low revs.

the Z-Bomb smoothes out the fueling and power delivery but doesnt quite eliminate the throttle response issues (but obviously this only matters if you notice it  )

I understood that the 2012 upgrade removed the torque dip as the 2012 model has traction control.

Had mine in for 2nd year service last week and nothing was said???
Saying that, first run out today and now the fuel cap has started sticking again and I can hear the brakes wearing against the discs......It's just a tick in the box right?
£120 for an oil change!!!
