View Full Version : Tank bag decision?

I'm heading off for a European tour later in the year, and was wondering what everyone had done about tank bags?

My Mrs will nick most of the pannier and top box space, so I am ideally looking for a bag with around 20ltr, and power also appeals.

Any suggestions or recommendations out there?

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

For a quality tank bag I'd be checking out Bagster/Baglux. Not sure if they do one for the 1200 yet though. If they do then try ordering from Motorcycle Heaven (http://www.motorcycleheaven.co.uk), when I got mine from them a few weeks ago they were doing 20% off which, considering the relative expense of Bagster kit, was most welcome. Their website seems to be down at the moment but try calling on 07793 727356.

I'm in no way affiliated with MC Heaven, just a happy customer.

Anyone have any views on the SWMotech powered bags?

I had an SW Motech Engage Sport tankbag (non-powered) on my K1200S and it's very secure and convenient to use. Wish I'd bought one for my R1200GS.

The quality isn't as good as a Baglux tankbag, but it wasn't looking too shabby after three years constant use.
