I saw my first 1200 today in Bikeworld in Dublin.
What a stunning machine it is in the flesh. Still not sure about the exhaust but I'm sure it would grow on me.
Sitting up on it I got no sense of the extra weight compared to the 800 and it felt lighter than a Blackbird to me but it is a few years since I've been on one of them. The big difference to the Blackbird was that just like the first time I sat on an 800Fi it felt instantly comfortable with no long stretch to the bars. The seat felt good and I got the impression that the seat feels lower partly due to the raised tank.
I was very impressed with the fit and finish overall and I'm sure it will weather well.
Can't wait to take one for a spin.

I only saw one for the first time last week in Hunt's. I was in asking about my clutch probs and thought it about time I saw one in the flesh after all I'd heard about it (having already made my own mind up without actually seeing one). It took me quite some time to find it (a white one), I was expecting it to really 'shout' out at me but in the end the only reason I saw it was because I almost stumbled over it in the showroom!

I'm still glad I bought my black VTEC when I did, but it certainly looked better in the showroom than on camera. :)

Saw my first 1200 on the road today too - red, turning off Newton Road onto Winwick Lane in Warrington.

Wow! I think Bikeworld offered it for 16.5k I think it was. Maybe it was 15.5k, I wasn't listening too closely, too busy looking at the bike.
They said they would take a trade in but I'm not in the market just now so I won't waste their time.
I actually planned to drop in to Ballymount after Bikeworld but the had one so I didn't bother.
