I see in the latest visordown mag they give the vfr1200 a good report .In the review the tester says that the firest thing he notices is that the riding position seems at odds with itself,the top is relaxed and roomy but his feet are too close to his kneees.Having short legs myself I have often thought my knees are too close to my feet:)
Which issue? I can't see it in the latest one?
Mine arrived today.A bit vague I thought, although he did give it 5 stars. Strangely I don't seem to have read a report from a top flight journalist like Roland Brown. Bit sick of reading about it to be honest I just want to ride it.

All the mags seem to be being a little confused with their reviews.
Most don't seem to like it, but score it highly - as if being critical for its own sake is their reason for being!
Maybe the incident with Honda throwing its ted out of its cot with one of the mags has brought them all back into line? ;)

It seems to me that reviewers in the mags usually come to the conclusion that honda do things too well 'the bikes lack character'which to me is ridiculous.They seem to think that having a number of faults or quirks gives a bike character ,I know what I prefer.

I rode one yesterday for the first time over a couple of hours.
Covered most types of road, town, country lane and dual carriageway.
I have no complaints about anything to do with the new VFR, actually can't fault it...:top:
Apart from one.
My legs did hurt when I got off, they were achey across the tops of the thighs like I'd been cycling all day.
But what a machine. I opened it up on the back roads and my mate on his 'blade was struggling to keep up! :}
When I handed it back my old Fi-W felt like a model T Ford in comparison :B:
And someone had just bought a silver one with all the luggage as I left (lucky git) wonder if it was anyone on here?? Lings in Lowestoft, was that you?
Interesting you say that. I think the pegs are set higher than other VFRs and the cut of the seat is quite different too. Could that be it? I find it more comfy than a Blackbird, but mainly due to the position of the bars.
