D'oh
I had a quick look before posting, but obviously missed it
There is no chance of me buying one. I have neither the cash nor the inclination.
I believe that Honda has totally lost it with this Jack of no Trades bike. An overweight, underfuelled aesthetic disaster not fit to be called a VFR. Who is going to buy this thing, really? No VFR owner, no BB owner and certainly BMW K owner. The MCN report was about as big a disaster as I have ever seen for a new bike where they are normally out of superlatives and fawning.

Disappointing for me I'm afraid... Defo looks like more of a Pan replacement than a BB.
I guess Honda's looking to the K1300 market (certainly looks like one), but meh whatever.
Automatic bike? Is that for rookies or lazy buggers? Why not just fit a hammock, and stabilisers while we're at it?:soapbox:
Actually maybe that's why the reviewer finds the VFR800 "flat" - if he's not comfortable using gears :p It doesn't sound like he took it to 10k at any point anyway - too busy checking out the low end torque in case he wants to pull a caravan :stupid:
I suppose some folk are really pleased that the new bike appears to be a k1300 clone, but IMO Honda have a hole in their line up.
If I were buying just now I'd much rather have a Busa or a ZZR - Honda don't currently have anything like em sadly.
MCN a few months back seemed to think that there might be 2 editions of the VFR12 - I dunno if that was ever denied or confirmed by Honda?
Fingers crossed there's yet some truth to that (and that this is NOT the sportier one!).

With the right set up it should have been a replacement for the Pan, they should have given VFR's the bike they have been asking for, exactly what they have with a few more 100cc's. Personally in my bias mode i still think the current V-Tec is what it should be a good middle weight that has a few more 100cc's than a 600.
I said right in the beginning that this bike did not seem to fit the profile and it looks like this is indeed the case. No suprise in the meantime they are keeping the V-Tec in the line up.
