Default Tour Prices And Currency Exchange Rates ?

Hi Clive ,

Excuse me if I have missed a post by you on this issue . With the decline of the Pound on international currency exchange markets , does this affect the price that we will have to pay for our Tour bookings ?

Regards ,

Rex.

Rex,

Important Notice

The price of this tour has been calculated at the exchange rate of 1.25€ per £1. This is the average rate as at the middle of October 2008. With the wildly fluctuating rates that we are experiencing at the moment it is almost impossible to predict what will happen by the time this tour departs. So far as possible, we will try and avoid levying any surcharges but, should the rate worsen by too much we will, unfortunately have to pass on the cost of any worsening. If however the rate should significantly improved it will be possible to pass this improvement onto you by way of a rebate. Final rates will be taken as those in force on the day of departure.

This shown below the pricing on each of the trips. So it is safe to assume in the current climate that there will be sipplements.

Cheers
Russ

i have booked for austria and i used this method to figure out the possible sipplement. Price of tour is £629 euro = 1.25 so tour in euros is £629 * 1.25 = €786.25 i guess the trains are paid in £'s so wont change much if at all so these figures could be less?. current price for euro is 1.02 ( from the M&S website ) so €786.25 / 1.02 = £771. but this could all be very wrong i have used this so i had an idea of what i needed to save. Heres to Hopeing the £ gets stronger agian

Will give you a full breakdown of costs if we have to ask for a suppliment Stu, we're pretty gutted at how bad the £ is doing but there is some talk of a recovery in April, so we are putting off doing anything until then. The Train and the Eurotunnel are both paid in Sterling, so they will come off the price before any exchange rate adjustment is made. Collectivley they account for a sizable chunk £300 ish from memory) so that'll help.
