If you haven't got an updated EHIC card, which used to be the E111 form, then you can apply online and get it within 7 days (allegedly).
Here's the link, but remember this card only entitles you to basic NHS style treatment if needed. It's strongly recommended that you take out additional travel insurance that includes full medical cover. Here's the link: http://www.dh.gov.uk/PolicyAndGuidan...795&chk=Q14Cn7 |

If you need to get or renew your EHIC card, beware of scam websites. There appears to be plenty of very official looking sites where you can renew your EHIC card. You fill in all your details, get to the end of the application and then they ask for a payment of £15 and even more for "express delivery" (delivery within 10 days).
These sites are a total scam. The EHIC card is free and is delivered normally within 10 days in any case. The only official site for the EHIC card is: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthc...-the-ehic.aspx |
