I would like to personalize my bike a little bit more than I have already and am thinking of adding some driving/running lights. Nothing new there I guess, but I want to mount them flush with the fairing. Sort of like a light on the hull of a jet. Anyone have any ideas for this? Or am I just wanting too much?

I've seen some inexpensive turn signals that are designed to mount flush against the bodywork, I think the local squids favor them as they are less expensive and less likely to get broken when they go for a slide. Looks like they could mount to any flat surface with three holes, 2 for mounting and one for wires...
I bought the Kissan signal minder, which lets you configure the existing turn signals as running lights. |

Yeah, your local Ford dealer probably has flush mount turn "repeaters". You can probably even choose between orange or clear glass. Go for clear glass and fit red bulbs in the left hand side and green in the right for that nautical look!

Here's some, er, interesting lighting options for your bike. Boogey Lights. Definitely post pictures if you install any of these...

My PIAA's are mounted flat on the fairing, where the roundels were.
Not totally flush, but I think it looks good and is very functional. Good visibility and conspicuity. |
