Default 1996 R1100rsl-se

With much regret I am posting my RS for sale. I sat looking at it for the last hour or so, drank a Guinness, literally shed a tear and now I sit here writing the ad.

So here goes....

1996 R1100RSL-SE in red and silver with 31k miles. This bike is truly showroom condition in and out. Virtually everyone comments that it looks like it rolled off the showroom yesterday... truly!

Ohlins front and rear
Lazer Duo-Tech w/chip
Corbin front and rear
Cortech seat pack
BMW saddlebags
Virtually new Michelin Pilot Roads
Sargent Metro Tank Panel
Saeng T/A Bar Pro mount for Valentine
Valentine remote adapter
Pharnes Visual Alert
Hella Big Tone horn set
Headlight relay upgrade
Hella YellowStar H4 headlight
Hyperlights
Heated grips
Magnesium "S" valve covers
Odyssey battery
Wudo bars (very sporty)
Throttlemeister
OEM smoke screen + clear
RT fuel filler
Speigler stainless brake lines on front and rear
Priority+ taillight

Service wise... the bike is absolutely up to date and then some. All services performed were at 4-5k and were full Inspections. All annuals were done twice a year

Replaced just because:
Throttle cables
Choke cable
Clutch cable
Speedo cable
Head gaskets
Intake manifolds (rubber)
All fuel lines

Certainly there is more stuff about this RS, but I can't remember it all!

For more info or pictures... give me a call at 503-588-1997 or drop me an email to bill@emeraldlight.com

$7900

I will vouch for Bill's claims in terms of his bike's like-new condition as well as expertness of service performed. Sure you want to sell it, Bill? If even to run errands on... Besides, how are you going to get to the TOR rally next year??

Ouch! Sorry to hear you have to sell - sounds like a fine bike. If only I had a spare $8000 to spend....

Hey Doug...

My bike sold really fast. A friend who already has an RS has been eyeing it for some time and is coming by with the funds on Sunday.
Thanks for vouching on the condition of my RS. Believe me I am really sick about this. But it has to happen based on my move to Chicago. Consequently I will NOT be riding to TOR next year, but do me a favor and have a beer with some other RS guys...

If you ever make it further east than Paonia... please, please stop in to say hi. You are always welcome at my place.

Say it ain't so Bill, say it ain't so . I guess this means you aren't coming up to do the S mirrors. What are your plans for getting another bike once you get this move settled?

Bill, sorry to be losing another seasoned RS member from the forum - First Terry and now you.

Good luck with the new move and don't forget to logon every now and then if you get chance.

All the best.

Bill sorry to hear you're going, you always had lots of good info - wow you had some great mods and the bike got lots of TLC . Your friend made a good choice.
Watch out in Chicago, the roads are rough and the cages are fairly agressive (@ least they were many years ago when I lived there).
Good luck
