Default Where to hire a bike short notice in France or Belgium

Hi All
Am currently in Europe driving a lease vehicle from Peugeot, but was planning to hire a bike - originally from Moto Guzzi dealer in Mandelo de largo on lake Como in Italy but schedules were messed up so did not proceed.

Do you have any tips on companies that would hire out a bike (preferably BMW -shaft- or Moto Guzzi) at shorter notice. Would like to tour Belgian Ardenes and northern France for a few days depending on how I can fit it around my commitments. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Mark S

Several BMWs here:
http://www.moto-plaisir.fr/moto/lang...orcycle-rental
and here:

But down near the alps rather than up in the north.

You could try www.holiday-bikes.com or there's a list of hire companies here:

and another one here:

Default Hired the bike

Thanks for the links- Hired a R1200RT from moto-plaisir - had the bike for 3 days and based in Habere Poche rode the mountains of the Haute Savoie.

Had a great time, even in the rain on the last day.

Can thoroughly recommend it.

Default Noticed you were in Normandy

Kev
Noticed you were in Normandy - Currently in Normandy myself (Repentigny) though not on a bike - moving down to Brittainy the day after tomorrow to meet up with my cousins family.

Once again thanks for the tip.

I can recommend lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant in Beuvron-en-Auge, quite close to Repentigny, if you have time tomorrow! I'm a couple of hours west of there - near Coutances on the west coast of the peninsula, an hour or so south of Cherbourg.
Hopefully the weather will pick up a bit towards the weekend - certainly nothing like summer here at the moment...

Default RE Restaurant

Thanks for the suggestion - will look in on it - hard to get a handle on the opening hours here.

You are right about the weather, we are thinking of going back south, but have to visit relations in UK first.
