Default 03 R1150rs No Go

Hello,
My RS ran great on the way to work a couple of days Ago. After work, turned over but no start. Has spark. Today I pulled the fuel pump. It works. put it all back together and no fuel to plugs. Dry as bones. I can hear the pump working. Why is fuel not getting to the TBs? Im stumped and quite frustrated. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

The injectors are not being activated. Fuel flows like a river to the injectors. Could this be Hall sensor?

Sounds like it may well be the hall sensor. Sudden, and fatal. Check advrider.com for support with your troubleshooting...loads of 1150 oil heads over there. Good luck...

Default no fuel

HES failure is rare on the 1150. I would suspect you blew the fuel line off inside the tank.
Pull the outside fuel lines loose and turn the bike on (you will have to hold the quick disconnect open if you have them). Since the pump runs at 'key on', you should have fuel shooting out of the fuel lines. If not, you have lost the hose inside the tank.

Had this happen on my RS. Some fuel will come out of the fuel lines with gravity. You are looking for a noticeable gusher with the fuel pump turned on. Have a jar to catch the fuel in. And of course no flames near by.

Is it? I thought it was the same unit as the 1100?
If it was the HES though, there'd be no spark I would have thought.

Physically, the 1100 and 1150 HES plates look the same, but it is thought that the HES wire on the 1150 is different from that on the 1100. That is why the replacement parts seem to be more reliable.
When the HES fails, you can potentially still have both spark and fuel being delivered. The problem is that, with the wires shorting against each other, the signals arrive at the wrong time, so the bike doesn't run. Of course, sometimes you won't get a fuel or spark signal at all - it depends on which wires are shorting together. This is also the reason that testing the HES is often a waste of time, since they will ofttimes test fine - I don't know why that is true, but it has happened many times. The main HES failure symptoms besides not running, is the tach bouncing when you try to start it. Again, not always, but frequently.
Testing for fuel at key on will speak volumes.

Just bought a R1100 RS SE thats been stood for 2 yrs,
got very similar symptoms as in got spark, new fuel & had injectors cleaned but still it won`t fire or cough, plugs are bone dry even with choke on & throttle wide open. Could the HES be at fault on mine? Being new to all this any help would be appreciated. The bike is a 99/00 model.

If the plugs are dry and have a strong spark the problem is likely to be the fuelling. If you remove each injector at a time then crank the engine you should see fuel squirt from the injector if the fuelling is working. (Aim the injector into a suitable receptacle to catch the fuel, checking each one separately). In your case you'll probably find that no fuel is squirted. Since the bike has been stood for a fair while it is quite possible that the fuel filter is clogged, either the mesh one on the suction side or the metal cannister one on the delivery side. This assumes that you can hear the fuel pump whirr when you switch on the ignition; if it doesn't there's a fault with the pump or its circuitry.
