I've always wanted to post a couple of pics of my RS but I just never spent the time,or money, to invest in Smugmug. With winter here, I needed something to do yesterday so I am now able to show off my bikes. I took this picture while on a trip from Chicago down to Savannah and back several years ago...the woman in the background was a professional model who just happened to be doing a shoot when I drove by so I stole her for a background




This picture was from a club ride down to the Starved Rock area of Northern Illinois. This bar just happened to be right next door to where we were eating lunch so I took the opportunity

Both bikes look superb in those settings, really fancy a 100GS myself, what is the background of yours? Year etc.

The GS is a 95...I just bought it last month from the original owner, an older gentleman who had a collection of BMW's. It is the last year " Classic " model that had only 12,900 miles on it. The bags were never even used and the bike does not have a scratch on it. I kinda stumbled on to this bike a basically bought it site unseen based on the owners comments....it was lime fate intervened here. I had owned a 95 1100 GS a few years ago and sold it when I bought my RS....I had been thinking about getting an airhead when this came along.

It was strickly a " one of those moments " thing. I saw them doing the shoot as I was coming down the street. You can see the yellow curb marking...this was a bus stop area and I was shooting the picture from the middle of a 4 lane street in Old Savannah, so I didn't have alot of time between honking horns to do it. If you look hard enough, you can see my bungee net hanging off the right side of my bike....I had riding gear that I moved out of the picture but forgot the net. After I took several shots of the bike, I went over and talked to the model, who was cool with me using her as the backdrop. I have always envied the folks who take some of the great shots you see on ADVrider so when I had the chance to buy a good digital, I took it and have been playing around now for a year or so, but always of a something I run across vs setting up. Glad you enjoyed.
