    Hi Dave,

The 'condition' is still present, but apparently is not to be worried about..... :-) - thanks for asking.

Ummm....... you could include a trip up here in your circuit of Scotland - not cheap to get here, but acommodation and parking free!

I have feeling that Else won't be getting away from you - the only way that could happen would be flat out on a motorway, and after all, that's not even fun!

I'm changing my bike next weekend - after 12 years on 2 RSs it's time for a change, I think. Another Beemer, but not an RS.

    'Til we meet again............

    Hi Dave,

Else and I will be visiting Scotland in the month of may. We will be there from 09-05-2011 till 19-05-2011. we're planning on doing a round trip. Still figuring out the details....
Else is riding a honda cbf1000 these days. If she starts to dare what the bike can do I'll be eating dust! I don't know how the rest of the year will be filled in...

Nice hearing from you and hopefully till we meet again.
    (How is your 'condition' btw?)

    C U Dave

I have checked with my brother who likes the idea and is checking with his Mrs & Work holiday rota. I have checked with my Mrs who has more or less given me the OK so I think it is looking like a plan. I will wait untill tomorrow untill I hear from Richard & then post it on the 2011 meet thread. and see who else thinks they would be up for it but as long as its me +1 I will go for it regardless I think.

Umm. I am officialy confused. I have to be in Avimore Sat 2nd of July for a wedding which means I could head over to do a bit of a west coast tour for a few days afterwards Ideal! The only problem with that is that I am bringing a fair amount of sound hardware to the wedding which I will have to do in the Van, and I dont really want to tour in that!! I am wonderiing if I can fit the stuff I need to bring + my bike in the van, or if my brother comes to bring the bikes on a trailer. That being the case i could leave the van in Avimore and do a few day loop and then head home. The problem with that is it wouldnt be a weekend, but that may not matter. I Also have to balance family stuff June is out, August is school holidays and I may not be popular with that idea. I suspect that is my best bet! What do you think and I will pass it by the Mrs & my brother who may well join me.

Hi Mike, August would do for me just as well - I've got holidays booked then, for a foriegn trip we've had to bow out of, so if you can stand coming in that direction twice in one year, that's a possibility.

New Bike; yeah, it'll be interesting, alright! Being a bit cautious, I'll wait to post anything about it 'til I've actually got it :-)

    Hi Dave

Sorry been a bit busy to be on the forum for the last few days. I think that may be a good option, I would be happy to do a few days on the west coast. I will check with my brother (who came last year on is XJ600 7 was keen to go anywhere again). One possibility is I have to come up to Avemore on 1st weekend of July for a family wedding, though unfortunatly in the Van. I will have a look at the diary and scratch my head a little and come back with a sugestion.

    New Bike sound interesting?!

    Cheers Mike

    Hey Mike.
I could do with a bike trip to plan for - West Coast would suit me down to the ground! I've a pal in Strathpeffer, so I could go and see him whilst I'm on the Mainland - mebbe go home via Orkney into the bargain. My good lady has been talking about coming for a trip this year, but doesn't want to go too far, so that would suit her as well. I'd like to see you guys again, but like I said before,it doesn't look like I'll be on the RS - I've decided it's time, after about 14 years of 'em, it's time for a change. All being well, I'm going to Glasgow at the beginning of April to collect my new steed - it's a Beemer, but of a different ilk :-)
It also occurs to me that the West Coast of Scotland includes the Bellach-na-Baa - excellent!
I'd like to make it in june/July let me know what you think?
    Cheers, Dave

    Hi Dave

Thought I would send you a message rather than posting, It doesnt seem like there is that much interest in meeting up again apart from: you, me peter & 3 up. I would still be happy to meet up and wondered as its the northern contingent who are interested if we should just bite the bullit and go further North. As Peter is Ireland & you are very far North & 3 up Northern England perhaps (Myself aside) the best location would be to head for the West coast of the Highlands! maybee for a longer weekend & just forget trying to make it easier for those in the south to Join us. I expect Dave & Elsa may be tempted by the west coast of scotland, though Dave has been very quite. Whats your thoughts good sir? Alternatly I think it may be best to give up on the idea.

    Mike
