Posted this in general chat under the topic, "How about a techlusion R259 for $10.00". I decided to throw it in over here hoping more people might see it and give it a try.
"Finally bought the R259 for my 02 RS. I had heard mostly good news about the Techlusion and was very excited about eliminating the surging. After installation I still noticed a small level of surging and this was with the unit adjusted at it's richest recommended setting, the point at which you start backing off to get the best balance of performance and fuel economy. It was a noticeable improvement but definitely not worth the $259.00. I considered richening it up more than what Techlusion recommends as some have done here with good results but decided I didn't want to run the risk of excessive carbon build up as others have suggested would happen by doing so. I returned the Techlusion to my dealer and with little enthusiasm decided to give the CCP swap (from the RT) a shot. I didn't expect much considering the low cost (around ten bucks) and the fact that no one on this site was saying much about it, but I have to tell you that the CCP swap worked every bit as well if not better than the Techlusion. The cost benefit ratio of this mod is simply amazing. I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this".
