Some myopic individual reversed over my RS while it was parked in a "solo motorcycles only" bay in Central London on Friday while I was in the pub. I came back to find it lying on it's side like a dead horse...
Now I need a right-hand rear indicator assembly (the whole thing including the black plastic that wraps around to the tail light), a left-hand rear indicator lens, a right-hand rider's footpeg. Nice to have (these bits were scratched rather than broken) would be a right-hand mirror, and a handlebar end. The right-hand fairing (red) is also scratched behind the front indicator and the end of the cylinder head is a bit of a mess but these are probably too expensive to replace. I would also like the registration number of the car that knocked it over but I'm sure I'll never get that!
Thanks...

Sorry to hear that. Makes you mad how little some people actually give a $h1t.

As a sometimes London commuter and user of parking bays (when it's possible to get a space  ) I am waiting for the day it happens to me.

Re breakers, I haven't found any in the area, but could suggest motorworks or motobins for second hand stock. Might be worth a try?

I second that motion - Motobins are great, Motoworks are superb! Stitch.

Thanks for the tips - I'll get on to them straight away. It's a bit difficult to ride with only one footpeg!

Was the peg just snapped off? You can always use the passenger peg to replace it if there was no damage to the attachment point.

I had to do this once. :bang:

cheers,

Doug

Yes, the footpeg snapped about halfway down the metal shank but the pivot where it connects to the frame is undamaged. I never thought to look to see if the back and front pegs were the same - thanks!
