S Mirrors on an RS?

I'm considering a used RS that is supposed to be in great condition. I'll see the bike next week but I saw a pic of it today. One thing I noticed was that it has mirrors from a R1100S. They're mounted on the faring.

I was wondering if folks considered this to be a positive (I'd imagine they give a better view of the rear) or negative (they looks kind of funky)?
