F650 top box onto R1100RS?

Well although I live in Australia the Scots bargain hunter in me still has strong conections.

I have bought a BMW top box fom the club last night as a member had found it in the throw out pile of a council verge clean up. $30-00 AU donation to club.

It has scratches which I have sanded out and of course does not fit the R1100 RS Standard carry rack.

Is their any way that this can be adapted? Inside lid refers to F650 on sticker.

There is a hole in the bottom corner next to the lower handle which needs to be filled, has anyone had any experience with this type of repair and what to use?

Mine is held on with 4 bolts and big washers. You can put wing nuts on the inside to make it a bit quicker to take of.

I will use this method if I cant get an original BMW fitting.
I looked at a BMW for sale on Trading Post in Australia and it has a carrier rack that looks designed for the purpose so will chase up and see if this is a part I can buy.
