Just did a 1500 mile loop around Lake Superior, good test of the seat and new tires. Used to get a bad case of "monkey butt" after 180-200 miles on the stock seat, after having it reworked by Rick Mayer I was spending all day in the saddle with no more problems including one 600 miler. Only caveat - be prepared to wait, see Frogwalkings post on this subject, I had the same problems.
This spring Pirelli had a great promo, buy a rear tire and they gave you a front in the new Diablo series. I just put them on a couple weeks ago, replacing my original z-4s at 9300. They now have 2000 miles, a great sport touring tire with emphasis on sport. Very smooth riding, much better than the Metzelers, great grip and very good in the rain. Will report back on life of tread.
