Anyone have the auxiliary light mount from RBR on their RS? I'd be concerned about contact at full compression.

Same question for the Martin Fabrications brackets.

Pics would be very helpful!

Thanks!

They're pretty sweet with a set of PIAA 1100's. I don't perceive any clearance issues. If you'd like I could take a pic.

Pics would be extremely helpful, thanks for the offer.

Is the the RBR or the martin bracket that you have? I'm thinking that Martin is the way to go, but pics of them are really hard to find!

I'll get some pics digitized tomorrow and post them.

They are great!!! I have a set of PIAA touring 910 upright. They provide me with a lot of extra light. The bracket is very stable.

I will try to post some pictures in the next few days.

I have the mounts by Bryan Martin and they work great...no interferance problems and solid. I found a set of halogen fog lights at a local auto store for a great price and couldn't pass them up ($9.00 for pair of Xtreem..similar to Hella's as referenced on a site I've forgotten the link to....) . I had to modify the brackets on the lights to fit the Martin mounts, but it was easy. I haven't had the chance to fully test them yet(hasn't been foggy and I'm not on the road in the dark now that the days are longer).
I also found a different supplier for a windscreen...Eagle Screens Australia! They make a screen for the RS that is very similar to the Wudo. Very good quality and total was $118 US shipped to my door. I only just received and installed it today. Tomorrow I'll see how well it works and post the results and some photos. Just in time for summer :D

I was at the Road America event and couldn't get to this until today. Hope it helps.

I have one from RBR mounted on my 04. When I get a chance I will take some pics and post. It does require some drilling of plastic and your fingers to work in some tight spots. Otherwise so far it has been very solid. I also had a very good experience ordering from Wade at RBR.

I also recently installed the RBR Light mount that I purchased from Wade via ebay. Here is the feedback that I provided him:

"Hi Wade;
This past week I had the opportunity to mount the light bar and wanted to provide you a little feedback;
1) High Quality item, workmanship is flawless
2) Instructions excellent (though I did not need to remove the fender as the instructions indicated)
3) What took the longest was positioning and holding that backing bracket that goes under the front 'lip' (in front of the oil cooler). Really awkward to line up and hold so that the bolts catch. Didn't think I'd ever get it, but did after probably 45 minutes. Any longer and I would have tried using strong double-sided tape to adhere the bracket to the cowling, then bolting in. Hope I don't ever have to remove this!
4) The 'exit' holes for wiring to come out and connect to the lights are really really small. I had to cut off the connectors from the wiring to fish them through, then re-solder them. Wasn't able to stuff them back into the bracket to hide extra wiring, ended up using electric tape to for the excess, not pretty."

I see that he currently has an Ebay posting:

I put on Hella FF50 lights and used the Cycle Gadget Autoswitch, which eliminates the need for a seperate switch and lets you press the turn-signal cancel button to turn the lights on and off. Works well.

I know - holy dead thread revival Batman!

Sorry.. his ebay link is still around, but no way to contact him, and no current listings on Ebay.

Would you happen to have contact info for him? That would be most useful..

TIA!

Hey deilenberger:

Strange, the link still works for me, maybe it's because I was the originator and copied it into this thread????

Anyway - the person I worked with was named Wade and this looks to be his mail address from the correspondance we had:
wfowler@rbrmanufacturing.com

Good luck,
Bruno
