I have a number of R1100 bits for sale. At least, that's what my wife tells me :bawl:  .

Apart from the motors already listed, I have a black motor from an 1100RT, a gearbox, Rear subframe (which I believe is the same as an RS), 2 Starter motors, a pair of forks with the bottom ball joint and ?plate thingy, a front frame with no papers/ vin plate, 2 battery holders, 1 ABS unit, 2 alternators. I also have some specific RT bits. No front wheel, headers or RT plastic. I have a tourquoise/ sea green top fairing for the RS bought 'in case' but not needed. It has a crack on one side below the indicator pod which is repairable.

The motor was advertised and sold to me by a dealer who had bought the bike from an insurance co for spares as having under 10k miles. Motor and gearbox are cosmetically in good condition (say condition 'A' cos they were hidden away from the muck.)but I can't verify mileage although I have the original speedo and rev counter. I'll photograph speedo for interested people.
Rear subframe is also in good condition. I have rear master cylinder for ABS II brakes.
Speedo and rev counter are for sale also along with handlebars/ switches for RT (UK spec).

I have 3 useable clutches still attached to motors if anyone is interested I'll take them off and photograph them. I also have a centre and side stand in vgc and a stand from an 1100s? which is sound but needs to be straightened along with a side stand.
I would be interested in selling or swapping any, or all of these items. I will not split the motor at this stage because it is too good. that means it would need to be collected from Glasgow. buyers pay postage/ carraige.

I still have 2 other motors which need some work and which I will break if necessary for anyone who is interested. see other advert.

Ask if you are interested. I will listen to offers of cash or swap or cash+ swap depending on what is on offer. As for price guide, let's assume that Motorworks are priced on the highish side of things and go from there.

Email or pm if you are interested. I will send pictures when I get round to taking them.

Do any of these bits have grass attached to them from the roadside? :D

:) lol. I can absolutely guarantee that there are no signs of grass, mud or any other detritus usually seen on the roadside verge around Lennoxtown. I have not had the opportunity to ride this bike as it has no front wheel. :moonie:

would you happen to have a set of valve covers not attached to anything?
looking for a pair to powdercoat, but I don't want my machine down while I wait.

Ricky,

Just re-read your post.

Have you still got the centrestand ?

How much for the RS centrestand complete (bolts bushes etc).

No front wheel? No problem! That's what wheelies are for. Takes the weight off yer wrists too. Of course the shaftie effect will prolly have you just spinning in circles.....

Hey, what year is this thing from? I might want the gearbox if its 98 or later.

What side of the pond are you on? Postage might be a bit, if your in the good ol UK, what with me being on Long Island, NY.

Thanks,
-Shawn

Ricky is in Scotland (the Scenic end of the UK ;) ). He is sampling the delights of the West Highland Way at the moment but should be back online near the end of the week.

Hi everybody. Thanks Skyenet for minding the shop :D The bike is marked at 1999 on the casings. Carraige won't be particularly cheap but I'll get a quote if you want.

BTW

The West Highland Way was spectacular. Weather was great (I'm a bit brown) and walking was even better. A recommended food stop for a good quality evening meal is the Bridge of Orchy Hotel. They have a Bunkhouse attached if you don't want to drive on.

Congratulations on completing the West Highland Way, I've known folks to bail out part of the way. And you beat the crazy wet weather that has descended!

It was easy because I had a stick. My daughter (15 yrs) did it too. The weather was absolutely fantastic. It rained on the 2nd day on the way into Inversnaid and no more when we were walking. Burnt my legs though. Felt great for the first time in ages. :D
