Default Stainless Steel Work

There is a guy just statrted up in our village doing bespoke stainless steel items for cars and bikes, so far he has done several exhaust hangars for friends sports bikes and very nice they are too. I thought after Xmas I would run the 1200 down with Touratech catalogue in hand and see what he could offer. On the lines of longer sump guard, and the odd little bits that wouldnt require investment in fancy press tools. Will keep you posted.

For info: he is here

Brian, when you do go down, ask him if he'd ever be interested in doing stainless steel downpipes & collector box for the VFR 800 - pre Vtec, or any other VFR for that matter. Beariing in mind they're horribly complicated!

And if he needs to borrow a bike for a bit to model them on, we can arrange it.....

As you are a bit closer than me how about asking if he can do VFR down pipes and collector. Although I suspect he may need a pattern.

The pattern will be no problem. We can easily supply a set of FiW pipes. Anyone who takes this on would need to appreciate just how crucial the dimensions really are both from the point of view of fitting the bike without compromising ground clearance and to preserve flow so that there is no drop off in performance.

There was nothing wrong with my '01 stainless OE system, 12,500 miles, two winters and not a mark on them.

I think it was the yellow bikes that had dodgy systems
