Default Alloy Tanks
Scrappy heres an address that makes alloy tanks for bikes, Dont know how much they charge but think it will be a bit more than £50 dtoru paid for his. Made a tank for a mates now defunct Firestorm did a brill job. Anyway enough of the waffling and here is the link

Certainly cheaper than the oe tank and made to any size you like

Cheers Fink but if a GSXR1000 tank is over £500 then i don't hold out a lot of hope of the CBR 600 being anything like the £4 I have to spare
