The reason i am doing this is i am replacing the standard exhaust with a Blue Flame slip on one and also using a powercommander and i have been told to do away with the o2 sensor as it cancels out the Powercommander signal (Honda ECU talks to the o2 sensor, o2 sensor sends signal to ECU to tell it the fueling is spot on or not. But if a Powercommander is added to the equation this plugs in after the ECU but before the o2 sensor so gets cancelled out by the o2 sensors signal i have been told. Hope you can decipher all that) If you are not using a Powercommander then you can continue using the o2 sensor with your aftermarket slip on exhaust
Talk about hard work to find it hidden away ![]() But i eventually traced it to here (the screwdriver is touching it) So out came this ![]() To be replaced by the lambda sensor eliminator (can just make it out in the photo as a yellowish connector with a green wire coming from one side of the connector and looping back around and back into itself.) ![]() Had fun trying to get the sensor, its wiring and connector out in one piece, managed to feed it out through the gap between frame and engine (clutch cable adjustment area) Hope this can be of use to someone else to make life a little easier for them. Karl. |

I'm stunned... at how clean everything is! Has your bike been outside?

All my bikes are like that even the last one i sold with just short of 17k on the clock, one days riding takes me a few hours to clean it back up. Wash and polish after every ride (including wheels, shock linkage, etc.)
Although this bike has only got 1126 miles on the clock, not had it long you see. Strange you say that they look clean as the first person who came to buy my last bike didnt try to knock me down in price as he said he couldn't fault it and he thought he was obsessed with keeping them clean. The way i look at it is if you keep on top of it like i do if a problem arises it will be quickly spotted on the other hand i may have O.C.D

Dude that bike is spotless, I thought I was compulsive with cleaning my bikes but not even my 6 month old VFR is that clean. But you are correct if the bike is clean you will pick up on problems very quickly. Part of the reason I think washing the bike is so important.

Kev, Pirks makes you look like a dirty whore, and I thought you had it bad!
Respect due. Out of interest Pirks, why did you go with the PC? Was the fuelling off in the first place or is it a nice-to-have?

I know. Feel inadequate now. Would love to put Spikes bike and Pirks bike together. Like putting Satan next God.

Or Pamela Anderson next to Kiera Knightly.
Now there's a thought.
