ok, I started with these bolts but cut them down to this size (M6x50mm) so I had full thread (sorry OCD)
I then used these spacers if you look at page you can buy them single as you only need two
I used these washers below & above spacers, then mount, then these washers below bolt head

I have now changed to these bolts for improved security an they come with thread all the way down, but then you have to buy tool to fit them

If you have a couple of minutes spare, this is quite good about changes I've made but to make your life easier, it is a waterproof power socket for sat nav
