Just noticed that Rich 66 has stuck a pair of carb wheels up on Ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8052641981

The paint job alone would set you back in excess of £140...

I have contacted Rich and he has agreed to the following..
If a BIRD member wins them we is willing to take you old wheels in px giving £50.00 for them.
The price offered reflects the cheap price of the auctioned wheels, and the idea is that he will then be able to turn those round and once again do another cheap jobby on the next pair.. thereby offering members a decent deal in an on going scenario..

With that in mind I am willing to offer my services FOC too.
Send your old wheels to me and I will remove the bits and bobs and fit it all on the new wheels..
The only thing I cannot do is remove and refit tyres.. I can get them done for £8.00 per wheel though ( and that includes balancing )

If you fancy it, use www.parcel2go.com (http://www.parcel2go.com) as the pair of wheels with tyres should only cost £10.86 to send :p

I can only say what a bloody good job Rich did on my wheels!! the above deal is certainly one I would take up, if I hadnt already had mine done, :dunno: they are so easy to keep clean, muck and chain lube is just washed off without the need to scrub!!

It does amuse me, and no criticism is meant here to Rich, when seller put NO RESERVE, and then a big starting bid. What's the difference.

I've seen Rich's work and they would look great on any coloured Bird.

JAWS isn't far from Richs either so it would be good to collect and see both places

As Ian has just mentioned to me in conversation, it is worth saying that if you use parcel2go, delivery is usually 2 days, then a day with and straight back to you come the new wheels.. So there is no need for a bike to be off the road amy more than 4 or 5 days :p

Caught ya, My ears were burning!

Not been on here for months and when i do, your talking about me! LOL

Well Ianrobbo thanks for your kind words about my wheels/powder coating. You've had them a long time now, i take it they are still holding up well and looking good? I like a bit of feedback!

In answer to your point Lumpy. Your right in what you say! But each time i've put a reserve on, i get inundated with e-mails from dickheads wanting to know the reserve so it's just far easier to put your reserve as the start.

If you look at all my ads, i've taken to leaving sarcastic answers to questions that i'm used to answering. It drives me mad what some people want to know, even when you've said in the ad "that's all i know about the item" they'll ask something stupid!

Well that's my first post of the year bl4hbl4h Back in 6 months :violin:

Rich66 - to keep the listing cost down on EBay I understand you can set a reserve but not show it in the add - but include it in the description.

Gorgeous wheels by the way; I keep looking at my 70k miles 97 Bird and telling myself not to be stupid...........but.............the Force is strong
